We are pleased to announce that ReadyRedact’s Document Redaction API has been integrated into Eden AI API.
ReadyRedact is an easy-to-use tool designed to quickly and effectively remove sensitive information from documents to avoid accidental exposure. Using advanced technology, it carefully eliminates confidential details one pixel at a time, ensuring greater file security and peace of mind for regulatory compliance.
Additionally, ReadyRedact ensures adherence to important privacy and data protection regulations including GDPR, CCPA, LGPD, POPI, and HIPAA. Using advanced technology, this product creates permanently altered documents. This ensures safe sharing and storage while reducing the chance of identity theft, fraud, or legal complications caused by leaks or breaches.
Eden AI offers ReadyRedact Document Redaction solutions on its platform amongst several other OCR Technologies. We want our users to have access to multiple AI engines and manage them in one place so they can reach high performance, optimize cost and cover all their needs.
There are many reasons for using multiple AI APIs :
You need to set up an AI API that is requested if and only if the main AI API does not perform well (or is down). You can use the confidence score returned or other methods to check provider accuracy.
After the testing phase, you will be able to build a mapping of AI vendors' performance that depends on the criteria that you chose. Each data that you need to process will be then sent to the best API.
This method allows you to choose the cheapest provider that performs well for your data. Let's imagine that you choose Google Cloud API for customer "A" because they all perform well and this is the cheapest. You will then choose Microsoft Azure for customer "B", a more expensive API but Google performances are not satisfying for customer "B". (this is a random example)
This approach is required if you look for extremely high accuracy. The combination leads to higher costs but allows your AI service to be safe and accurate because AI APIs will validate and invalidate each other for each piece of data.

We saw a need for modern document security/redaction in the marketplace. Redaction tools in the market were primarily PC-based or embedded into expensive systems that tacked on redaction as an afterthought. We build ReadyRedact to make it easy and affordable to permanently redact documents whether you have a dozen documents to redact or a million.
ReadyRedact helps ensure that your documents are in compliance with current privacy and data protection laws including GDPR, CCPA, LGPD, POPI and HIPAA. It parses documents using advanced technology to produce a permanently redacted document version for sharing or storage that eliminates the risk of identity theft, fraud and litigation due to data leaks or outright theft.
ReadyRedact offers an intuitive cloud-based portal that allows end users to manually redact documents, use rules to automatically redact documents, and redact documents in mass with our REST API. Additionally, ReadyRedact has turnkey integrations with Box, DropBox, and OneDrive to make it easy to pull in and redact your documents regardless of their final destination.
ReadyRedact customers come from a wide range of industries. We feel that any organization that has digital documents can take advantage of our platform to remain compliant with state, federal, and government and protect themselves from data breaches and/or litigation.
Many organizations have large volumes of digital documents that are not protected from prying eyes or nefarious actors. Our goal is to help these organizations secure those documents.
We have been exploring additional ways to get our product in front of end users beyond the traditional marketing strategies. We came across Eden AI as part of that research and were impressed with the growing number of services they offered. We also felt that ReadyRedact would add another distinct service to the Eden AI portfolio, and we are glad they agreed.
We have a number of exciting features we are actively working on or are on the short-term roadmap including:
1. Additional Auto Redaction Rules - We’re working hard to develop and offer out-of-the-box redaction rules that aid in redacting sensitive information.
2. Integrations - While we already support integrations with Box, OneDrive, and Dropbox we are adding support for SharePoint and Google Drive.
3. Email Integration - This new feature will allow end users to forward emails to ReadyRedact and return redacted emails (and attachments) to the sender.
4. Customizable Workflows - All organizations have slightly unique workflows as it relates to their document processing and securing needs. We’re working behind the scenes to allow these organizations to craft their own workflows directly in ReadyRedact.
5. Auto Redaction Rules Creation - We’re enhancing our auto redaction rules creation flow to make it easier for end users to create new rules and we are also building intelligence into the platform to allow (optionally) for these rules to be created for the end user by analyzing document patterns and common manual redactions.
